We are excited to announce the soft opening of Phase Two of the Banchory Woodland Trails.
The work was funded by the Just Transition Fund, the FCC Communities Foundation, money raised by the DBC and through kindly received donations. The construction work was carried out by CR Contracting Ltd and comprises of:
- Sited adjacent to the picnic area, A new Flow and Pump Skills area consisting of berms, rollers and small drops. An ideal area for cyclists looking to progress and develop their technique and skills
- Dee Send, red trail – upgrade to the upper section of trail to include a few larger features
- Construction of a boundary path creating a circular path network round the woodland
Please be aware that work isn’t complete at the trails yet with signage still to be installed and surfacing of the upper boundary path still to be finished in the month ahead.
The Deeside Bike Collective is a small charity run by a group of volunteers. If you enjoy using the trails, please make a donation to support trail upkeep and ensure our sustainability.
You can also join us to show your support and state on your membership sign-up form if you want to join the trail maintenance crew!
